Million Man March Print E-mail

One hundred thousand black men marching in a line,

Lots of angry young black men in the crowd,
Could it be a Washington DC policeman's worst nightmare?
But not with this crowd but not today.
Today is a day of reckoning,
a day to take a look inside,
A day to say that "Enough's enough,
No more blaming white men for the troubles,
We cause ourselves.
No more black on black crime.
Time to decide that if no-body will help us,
It really is time to help ourselves.
One hundred thousand black men,
Swallowing their pride, considering the options,
And though I march not with them,
Today, I'm proud to be one of them.
