My, my, what a strong man you are,

You can lift eighty kilos, and knock six men down.
And puny men like me,
Call you a hero, and say "What a man!",
But can you wake up in the middle of the night,
And hold your baby tight and provide comfort,
To wipe the tears that she cries.
You might be quite a man,
But can you be a dad?

Oh boy, what a rich man you are,
Worth a million pounds or so
And a self made man!
Have stakes in companies here and abroad,
Been nearly everywhere.
Someday, business students will study your style.
But can you sit in a chair, feeding your child,
And wishing you were with your friends at the bar,
But staying right there instead?
Can you be a Dad?

Watch that talented man,
Can sing can dance and tells a good joke too,
Known from John O'Groats to Lands End.
But could he give up his uncertainities,
And work from 9 to 5
To provide some certainity for his child?
Could that man be a dad?

Many heros we have, people we wish we could be,
And yet all around us,
Small heros cover this land,
These little heros are all commonly known as Dad!
