It's not pity I feel for you, You've made your choices, taken your gamble, It hasn't worked as well as you planned, And now you have to pay the price. I don't feel sorry for you, After all you are a grown man, But when I extend my hand, And offer you a little bit of help, It's not because I feel pity, After all I have been where you are now. It's not pity I feel at all, Pity doesn't last - it fades with time, My hand, my help is extended Because you are a friend of mine. |
