God has given me a little present,

One that nobody could have given me,
One little presnt that represents everything,
A man of my wants could ever wish for.

My little present represents true unconditional love,
It represents hope, true unfailing hope,
It is truth, just in its presence,
It represents happiness, pure satisfied happiness.

God has given me a present, a little bundle,
That proves that He regards me as deserving
Of His love and forgiveness,
That proves that He has trusted me,
To do his willing and to do my duty.

God has given me a little daughter,
And in so doing, has given me a present,
That represents all that I am and will be,
God, therefore, is truely wonderful.
