Where are you, Lord?

When I need you so badly,
When everything around me,
Seems to be falling around my ears?
The troubles, they are a-coming one after another,
And my prayers do not seem to be getting through.
The money seems to be flowing through my fingers,
And the bills keep dropping in,
The wife is getting restless, as less and less,
She gets the things she believes are her right.
The kids need new clothes, and all the food is gone.
Oh, precious Lord, please, give us our daily bread,
For time is getting preciously shorter,
And I pray and pray and pray,
For a little help from you above.
Oh, where are you, Lord?
